CoinFlip

The Short Version

CoinFlip is a browser extension that runs entirely on your device. It reads publicly visible property listing information from Zillow and Redfin to power the renovation calculator. It never sends any data to any external server — including ours.

What We Collect

Nothing. CoinFlip does not collect any data of any kind.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any identifying information
• Your location or IP address
• Which properties you view or analyze
• Your renovation selections or financial calculations
• Browsing history or activity
• Any analytics or usage data

Local Storage

When you use the "Save Property" feature, CoinFlip stores your saved properties using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data is stored exclusively on your own device, inside your Chrome browser profile.

This locally stored data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is never transmitted to any server
• Is never accessible to us or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by removing the extension

The saved data includes property addresses, listing prices, your renovation selections, and calculated ARV/profit figures — all of which you entered yourself.

Website Data Access

CoinFlip reads property information (price, square footage, bedroom/bathroom count, and address) from Zillow and Redfin listing pages. This information is already publicly visible on those pages. CoinFlip reads it locally in your browser to populate the renovation calculator — it is not transmitted anywhere.

CoinFlip does not interact with Zillow's or Redfin's servers directly. It only reads the content already loaded in your browser tab.

Third Parties

CoinFlip does not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or data brokers. There are no third parties involved in the operation of this extension.

CoinFlip does not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or any similar service.

Permissions Explained

storage

Used exclusively to save properties you manually choose to save using the "Save Property" button. Data is stored locally on your device only.

Access to zillow.com and redfin.com

Required to inject the CoinFlip sidebar onto property listing pages so the renovation calculator can display. CoinFlip reads property data already visible on the page — it does not make any additional network requests to these sites.

Children's Privacy

CoinFlip is intended for use by adults engaged in real estate investment. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 18.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date below and increment the extension version number. Continued use of the extension after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
